Fresh off the back of a Persol collaboration and a stellar Spring/Summer 2022 collection debut comes JW Anderson‘s FW21 drop, and within this collection is a range of new must-have Punch Bag bags.
Jonathan Anderson made quite the statement last year when he dropped the now-signature nano cap bag, and even more so when his iconic penis key chain was turned into a pouch. Now, the designer looks to expand on his range of uniquely shaped bags with the Punch Bag, which comes in regular and nano sizes and in colors including black, brown-tan, and khaki green.
The bag itself is shaped just like a retro punching bag, just like the ones that would hang from the ceiling and take a battering from boxers training. Shaped like a teardrop, it looks as if it’s suspended by the single leather strap that wraps from the top to the bottom of the bag, and from first glance, it’s hard to know how you’d open it up.
Well, on the back there’s a large zip with silver hardware that opens up a cavity inside, which is big enough to carry all your daily essentials in the normal size or perhaps just a phone and some cards if you opt for the nano version. Inside is lined in suede, while on the outside you’ll find a full-body crafted from premium leather with contrast topstitching to add to that retro boxing vibe. Decorative lacing on the front rounds out the look.
JW Anderson’s Punch Bag costs $735 USD for the normal size, while the nano costs $510 USD. Both styles can be seen above and purchased from the JW Anderson website now.
In other news, here are eight more drops you don’t want to miss this week.
